A Abrigo Case Study
Ozona Bank faced a challenge when longtime employee Kathy Gold stepped into the BSA/AML officer role and inherited mostly manual monitoring processes during a period of growth. The bank had recently adopted BAM+ but needed deeper training, data integrity checks, and repeatable risk-rating to ensure nothing slipped through the cracks — prompting engagement with Abrigo (Advisory Services and BAM+) to help get the program regulator-ready.
Abrigo’s Advisory Services delivered on-site retraining, a five-day data integrity review of systems feeding BAM+, and guidance on the Rules Based Risk Rating (RBRR) report to standardize risk scoring. The work immediately improved confidence and efficiency: routine manual tasks that took about three hours can now be completed in roughly 30 minutes, regulators were impressed, and Ozona is close to running an almost fully automated BSA/AML program thanks to Abrigo.
