Local Government Federal Credit Union (LGFCU), a $2 billion credit union serving North Carolina local government employees, faced slow, manual member business lending processes that required borrowers to mail or email documents and wait up to a week for decisions. LGFCU partnered with Abrigo, working with them to develop a nonprofit spreading module and deploy Abrigo modules — including automated workflow, risk rating, loan decisioning, relationship management, the Abrigo Loan Application, and Client Portal — to digitize the entire loan lifecycle.
Abrigo’s solution automated LGFCU’s end-to-end lending operations, cutting decision turnaround from five–six days to one–two days, eliminating many credit committee meetings, and freeing loan officers for member-facing work and prospecting. The digital Loan Application and Client Portal provided secure one-click document uploads, accelerated closings, increased lending volume, and materially improved member experience and staff efficiency.
