Quad City Bank and Trust ensures BSA continuity and strengthens compliance with Abrigo SAMS

Quad City Bank and Trust, a $2.5 billion Iowa/Illinois community bank and upstream correspondent bank for more than 200 financial institutions, needed to maintain BSA/AML compliance continuity during a leadership transition. With its long-tenured BSA Officer departing and multiple enterprise projects underway, the bank partnered with Abrigo and used its Suspicious Activity Monitoring Services (SAMS) to avoid any gaps in alert review and regulatory reporting.

Abrigo implemented a six-month SAMS engagement, providing seasoned BSA investigators to manage alerts and cases, draft SARs, and improve documentation processes. The team handled 75–110 fraud alerts per month, kept work within regulatory timelines, reduced backlogs, and gave leadership more time to focus on other priorities. Abrigo’s support also helped onboard the new BSA Officer smoothly, while improving the quality and speed of case write-ups.
