BSI Raises Its Security Standards With Behavioural AI Threat Detection

BSI, the global performance consultancy and UK National Standards Body serving over 77,000 clients, needed to supplement Microsoft 365’s native email security to prevent spear phishing, BEC and VEC attacks, protect sensitive client IP, and reduce SOC analyst workload. To meet those goals they engaged Abnormal AI and deployed Inbound Email Security, Account Takeover Protection and AI Security Mailbox integrated via API with their existing M365 stack.

Abnormal AI’s behavioural AI detected anomalies, auto-remediated advanced phishing and account takeovers, and integrated without disrupting BSI’s environment. The deployment found threats M365 missed and delivered measurable impact: 90% fewer malicious URL clicks, 40% fewer user-reported emails, 10+ SOC hours saved per week, and protection for 6,000+ mailboxes—improving incident response and client confidence.
