Improving Multiple Scores for Wyoming Medical

Wyoming Medical Center partnered with ABM Industries to improve its patient environment, environmental and laundry services, and patient transportation program. The hospital wanted to strengthen cleaning management processes, improve staff stability, and deliver a higher-quality, more efficient patient experience with minimal disruption during the transition.

ABM Industries implemented environmental services, laundry and linen distribution, facilities management, patient transportation, and later valet and patient sitter/companion services. ABM introduced ATP cleaning technology, improved linen inventory and cleaning efficiency, upgraded uniforms, and enhanced communication in patient transportation. The results included an 89% ATP pass rate, improved HCAHPS cleanliness scores from 61.11 to 74.32, faster transport response times from 24.7 to 15 minutes, lower delays, reduced FTEs, and higher patient and employee satisfaction.
