CARI.net, a semi-managed service provider serving SMBs globally, needed a fully self-service IaaS platform that would let customers quickly provision virtual machines, manage networks and storage, and upload custom images without adding complexity. After evaluating six cloud platform vendors, CARI.net chose Abiquo’s cloud management platform because it was truly agnostic and could support the flexibility its customers needed.

Abiquo implemented a cloud management solution that enabled CARI.net customers to create and configure their own infrastructure, build networks, save VM templates, and deliver virtual data center and public cloud services. The platform has been running in production for four years, improved agility, reduced cost and complexity, and earned strong support and confidence from CARI.net, though the case study does not provide specific quantitative metrics.
