The Ivey Business School at Western University, a premier Canadian business school whose alumni often hold senior leadership roles, set out in the mid-1990s to build its own advancement infrastructure and elevate its global standing. With a relatively small Advancement team responsible for donor relations, campaigns and reporting, Ivey needed a centralized, easy-to-use system to manage data and support aggressive fundraising goals.

In 1998 Ivey implemented Abila Millennium to independently manage advancement; the platform provided prospect management, sophisticated segmentation, and fast, actionable reporting. Millennium helped the team track engagement, streamline gift processing and respond to data requests, contributing to annual giving growth from $250,000 to about $4.9 million and strengthening donor relationships.
