The Arts Council of Oklahoma City needed to raise more money to sustain its arts programs but lacked the tools and experience for online and peer-to-peer fundraising. Leadership also wanted to leverage board members’ networks, yet many trustees were not tech- or social media‑savvy and felt intimidated by digital fundraising.
By adopting Abila Fundraising Online alongside their existing Fundraising 50 database and with hands‑on support, staff trained the board and had 21 of 27 members create personal fundraising pages. The effort produced measurable gains—an average additional $2,215 per month, board members raised ten times expectations, and 80 new donors were added—strengthening the council’s fundraising capacity and donor base.
