LIXIL modernizes accounting across 42 companies with ABeam Consulting

ABeam Consulting worked with LIXIL Corporation, a global manufacturer, to address challenges in its accounting domain. LIXIL needed to modernize aging systems for fixed asset management, equipment investment, and lease management to achieve global standardization. A critical driver was the need to ensure timely compliance with a new lease accounting standard mandatory from April 2027, all while managing complex Japan-specific accounting and tax requirements.

The solution involved implementing SAP S/4HANA® solutions, specifically FI-AA and SAP Contract and Lease Management, under a "Fit to Standard" concept. ABeam Consulting leveraged its deep experience to design processes that balanced global standardization with local Japanese needs. The project established a roadmap for automated tax calculations and full electronic filing, eliminating Excel and paper-based work. Although the system was not yet live at the time of the report, ABeam Consulting ensured steady progress toward go-live, setting the stage for reduced operational burden and compliant, standardized processes.
