World Vision Colombia, part of the global nonprofit World Vision, supports more than 80,000 children across six regions and needed reliable, timely social, demographic and program-monitoring data from a variety of questionnaires. Manual data entry and frequent outsourcing created high costs, administrative delays and limited autonomy to design and process the organization’s research forms.
Implemented by partner Indexa, ABBYY FlexiCapture lets staff design machine‑readable questionnaires, scan paper forms and automatically extract and verify data for in‑house processing—about 60,000 pages across 15 form types to date. The solution reduced costs and turnaround time, increased data quality and transparency for internal and donor reporting, enabled scaling of monitoring activities, and helped protect field staff while improving program impact.
