Amity Education Group, India’s leading private education group with over 50,000 students and 3,000+ faculty, needed an automated way to capture data from diverse academic forms (student data sheets, answer sheets, profiles) that included printed text, hand-printed fields, OMR and barcodes, and to make forms retrievable by any word. Amity contracted Vicisoft Technologies to build a scalable solution that could handle multiple data capture technologies and high volumes.

Vicisoft implemented ViciForm with ABBYY FineReader Engine 8.1 SDK and ABBYY FormReader 6.5, using two Kodak i60 scanners (A3, duplex), a 300,000 pages/year engine license and five verification stations. The integrated solution delivers high accuracy, searchable metadata and export to XML/CSV, cutting manual data entry by up to 70% and reducing per-form processing time from 10 minutes to 2.5 minutes, yielding fast turnaround and strong ROI.
