Transguard Cuts Time for Processing Internal Staff Testing with ABBYY FlexiCapture®

Transguard Group, a Dubai-based business support services provider, needed to speed up and improve accuracy of its English Placement Test (EPT) processing for a large, multilingual workforce. The Training Academy’s manual workflow—examiners marking papers, trainers transcribing results onto evaluation sheets, and an operator entering data into an in‑house application—was slow, resource‑intensive and only about 75% accurate.

Working with ABBYY, Transguard redesigned the test layout and implemented ABBYY FlexiCapture to OCR and extract results into Excel/CSV for automatic upload to the training system. Daily processing dropped from about 200 minutes to 37.5 minutes (an ~81% time saving / roughly fivefold faster), per‑sheet handling fell from 4 minutes to ~45 seconds, and accuracy rose to nearly 99–100%, creating a scalable, resource‑efficient process and eliminating repetitive manual work.
