Sahara India Financial Corporation Limited (SIFCL), part of the Sahara Pariwar and one of India’s largest deposit mobilization companies with about 60 million depositors and 1,500 branches, faced a growing archives problem: millions of account opening forms stored in binders across eight warehouses had to be retained by law, were aging and deteriorating, and manual data entry was too slow to meet customer service demands.

Partner NetSpider India implemented an end-to-end solution using ABBYY FormReader 6.5 Enterprise: document preparation (cutting, hot-air separation), high‑speed scanning, automated recognition via hot folders and ABBYY templates, six verification stations, and direct export to SQL Server. The system processes about 70,000–80,000 forms per day, reduced staffing to 12 people for daily operations, and largely automated archive digitization and data capture.
