Renault Argentina, a longstanding subsidiary of Groupe Renault, faced a slow, error-prone, fully manual invoice processing system—complicated further by customs and foreign-trade invoices in multiple languages and the need to integrate with SAP ERP. The finance team needed a flexible, accurate solution to reduce processing time and human error while supporting regional operations.
Using ABBYY’s Digital Intelligence platform, Renault automated invoice ingestion from email, extracted and validated data in any format/language, and delivered it into SAP—processing documents in about one minute. The project achieved a 100% digital workflow, cut invoice loading from 12 to 1 minute, reduced staffing needs from 2 to 0.5 FTE, reached ~95% capture accuracy, minimized human error, and prompted broader rollout across Renault’s South American units.
