PSA Security Network Reaps Company-Wide Benefits from Paperless Accounts Payable Initiative

PSA Security Network, the world’s largest electronic security cooperative, was processing 500+ invoices a day by hand, manually entering data into NetSuite and other systems. The paper-heavy workflow was slow (taking up to 48 hours to receive and index an invoice), error-prone and prevented timely access to historical records—prompting a company-wide paperless initiative to improve accuracy and throughput.

Working with ProConversions, PSA deployed ABBYY FlexiCapture for Invoices to automatically import, classify and extract invoice data from email and scanned documents, verify values against NetSuite purchase orders, route exceptions to an approval queue, and export verified data and images to NetSuite and Treeno for automated voucher creation and workflow. The solution—implemented in about three months—delivered a 60% productivity gain, eliminated backlogs, improved data integrity and visibility, and enabled invoice prioritization that increased month-end revenue.
