Nobly chooses ABBYY for automated classification of healthcare documents

Nobly, a Danish healthcare software vendor specializing in electronic medical records, faced a growing challenge: healthcare staff were spending significant time manually classifying and sorting hundreds of patient document types (expected to exceed 450, including case notes, prescriptions and cardiography/anaesthesia files), slowing workflows and diverting time from patient care.

To address this, Nobly integrated ABBYY’s automatic document classification (FineReader Engine) into NoblyDoc, using image criteria, OCR and linguistic technologies plus a custom interface for mapping and adding document types. The result is highly accurate automated classification and text extraction, streamlined routing into health records, reduced manual processing, and more time for direct patient care and efficient administration.
