MIGROS uses ABBYY's recognition software to process bulks of paper forms

Migros Turkey, a major retailer serving millions of customers and 3.8 million MClub cardholders, needed to capture data from large volumes of paper MClub application forms and older OMR HR forms quickly, securely and with fewer errors. Manual entry was slow, error-prone and not scalable for the company’s distributed processing needs.

Migros implemented ABBYY Enterprise Forms (FormReader) with integration support from Kets — a networked OCR solution with built-in validation rules — and completed the initial rollout in three days. The system processed 6,000 application forms into an Oracle database in that time, then handled over 7,000 HR OMR forms in two days, delivering significant productivity gains, time and labor savings, and a sharp reduction in data-entry errors.
