Maruti Suzuki India Ltd., India’s largest passenger car maker, ran a widely used monthly suggestion scheme for employees and customers to drive product quality, safety and cost improvements. Processing these paper forms manually was slow, error-prone and forced staff into frequent month‑end overtime, creating a bottleneck for timely decision‑making.
To fix this, Maruti Suzuki partnered with NetSpider India to redesign the form and deploy ABBYY FormReader/FormDesigner with custom extraction code to automatically capture and send data to a database. The automated, end‑to‑end solution eliminated overtime, reduced labor and processing time, made the suggestion program cost‑effective, and supported faster product reengineering and improved customer satisfaction.
