China Resources Ng Fung (CR Ng Fung), a leading Hong Kong food distributor and part of the China Resources group, manages large volumes of rice, fresh meat, vegetables and frozen goods across complex supply chains. The company faced slow, error-prone manual processing of AP/AR and delivery notes—many with handwritten, multilingual edits—which made timely, accurate document handling and retrieval a major challenge.

CR Ng Fung deployed the VITOVA EIM platform with ABBYY FlexiCapture (VitalScan, VitalCapture and VitalDoc) to scan, recognize English/Traditional/Simplified Chinese, validate handwritten changes and export data to Oracle. Implemented in six months, the solution now automates about 90% of delivery document flow, handles up to 200,000 pages per year and sharply reduced manual entry, errors and processing time.
