Inmarko, the Novosibirsk–based leader in the Russian ice cream market, was struggling with a slow, error-prone process for capturing retailers’ next‑day product requests. Supply agents submitted paper forms with over 1,000 hand‑printed fields each; three data‑entry operators still finished only late at night, causing delays and costly mistakes (duplicate or missing deliveries).

Inmarko deployed ABBYY FormReader to automate form input with minimal integration, no form redesign and only a flatbed scanner plus a PC. The result: input productivity rose sixfold, one operator handled the workload much earlier in the day, and critical errors were greatly reduced. The system was then extended to process multiple document types and rolled out to other plants with no additional investment.
