HQB S.A., a Santiago-based document imaging and management specialist, was contracted by Chile’s supreme electoral court (TRICEL) to digitize and process ballots from the 2009–10 presidential runoff and concurrent parliamentary elections. Facing more than 160,000 forms and a strict 72-hour window to produce transparent, accurate official results, TRICEL moved from slow manual processing to an outsourced automated solution.

HQB implemented a turnkey workflow using ABBYY FlexiCapture with high-volume scanning, automated OCR/ICR/OMR recognition, targeted verification, and centralized storage with public reporting.
