How FVTech Successfully processes 8 Million Medical Claims a Month Using ABBYY FineReader ® Engine with FlexiCapture® Module and Artsyl’s ClaimAction

FutureVision Technologies (FVTech), a Salt Lake City–based business process outsourcing firm specializing in document imaging and digital conversion, sought to modernize its medical-claims division after its legacy platform lacked reliable support for UB04 forms and offered only marginal NUCC support. Facing the need for high accuracy and flexibility to serve diverse clients, FVTech elected to license an established capture solution rather than build templates from scratch.

FVTech deployed ABBYY FineReader Engine with the FlexiCapture module together with Artsyl’s ClaimAction, working closely with Artsyl to customize the solution. The system reached production in about two months and now processes roughly 2 million claims (≈8 million pages) per month; UB04 identification rates rose from 0% to about 85–90%, delivering the improved accuracy and vendor responsiveness FVTech required.
