Fuji Xerox Implemented ABBYY FlexiCapture 9.0 to Significantly Reduce the Costs on Document Processing

Fuji Xerox of Shenzhen Ltd, a major production and distribution arm of Fuji Xerox Co. Ltd., was overwhelmed by a high volume of varied paper documents — invoices, application and supplier forms — processed manually, which caused slow throughput, typing errors and rising labor costs. The Shenzhen site needed a document workflow automation solution to accelerate processing, improve accuracy and reduce headcount pressure.

Working with ABBYY partner Digital Information Technology, Fuji Xerox implemented ABBYY FlexiCapture 9.0 in about one month to automate classification, recognition and data export. The system replaced manual input, enabling processing of hundreds of thousands of pages per year (FlexiCapture Master ~250,000 pages; Operator >600,000) and 500–1,000 pages per day, cutting human costs, improving accuracy and making archiving, search and retrieval far faster and more reliable.
