Finansbank uses ABBYY FormReader for automatic input of credit card application forms

Finansbank, a rapidly growing Turkish bank, faced a bottleneck in processing credit card applications: 80 operators could only handle about 1,000 forms per day, yet volumes were expected to reach 10,000. The bank needed a highly accurate, scalable solution because any input errors could jeopardize client accounts.

With Cadet specialists, Finansbank deployed a networked ABBYY FormReader solution using duplex scanners, endorsers and OCR/ICR/OMR/barcode recognition, plus automatic validation, visual verification and integration with NovaManage EDM and Oracle. The system processes four A4 pages with attachments in about 90 seconds, cut staffing from 80 to 10, raised throughput to 10,000 forms/day, proved easily scalable with added licenses, and is slated for an Enterprise upgrade.
