Coopeuch Creates a Unified Database of Its Salary Documentation with ABBYY

Coopeuch, Chile’s largest savings and credit cooperative with about 2,000 employees and more than 80 offices nationwide, faced a major information-management challenge: over 100,000 salary documents existed only as non-searchable image PDFs in many disparate formats, making it time-consuming and labor-intensive to access critical payroll data across the organization.

Working with ABBYY partner Comercial SF, Coopeuch implemented ABBYY FlexiCapture to classify documents, group them into 20 model types, extract key fields (tax ID, periods, sums, etc.) and export the results to a unified, searchable database. The project was completed in four months, produced an accessible repository of 100,000+ records, and sped processing about eight times (6 hours vs. 50 hours for 500 records), dramatically streamlining payroll data access and internal workflows.
