CMC Ltd. Uses ABBYY Enterprise Forms In Board of Intermediate Education Projects

CMC Ltd., an IT services provider working with government and education clients across Andhra Pradesh (including the Board of Intermediate Education, APREIS and DIETCET), needed a reliable, cost‑effective ICR solution to integrate into its data capture systems and maintain high recognition quality across many projects. Until 2002 CMC had used multiple vendors and sought to reduce licensing costs without sacrificing accuracy.

After evaluating products, CMC selected ABBYY Enterprise Forms (licensed via NetSpider) and engaged TRS Forms & Services for installation, training and an Oracle 8i export module. ABBYY became the core technology for processing over 80,000 student questionnaires in 2003; CMC completed seven projects with recognition accuracy above 95%, substantially lowering project costs while preserving data integrity.
