Big Indonesian airports analyze customers’ needs with ABBYY FlexiCapture 9.0

PT Angkasa Pura II, a state-owned operator of 12 airports in western Indonesia, needed reliable passenger and employee feedback to improve service quality but struggled with collecting and digitizing large volumes of paper surveys from multiple branches. Manual processing was slow, costly and error-prone, making it difficult to produce timely, accurate management input.

With support from PT Prisma Teknologi Informatika, the company deployed ABBYY FlexiCapture 9.0 to automate data capture and centralize results via VPN. The project reduced staffing and paper handling (now handled by 4 processors with 2 verifiers, 2 workstations and 1 server), eliminated the need to send paper forms, improved accuracy, saved time and costs, and processed about 55,755 survey pages in three months; the survey will now run twice yearly.
