A ABBYY Case Study
Bauman Moscow State Technical University struggled to turn professors’ paper exam sheets into usable digital records for its large student body. Manual keying of thousands of forms per exam made it slow and error-prone to analyze individual and departmental progress, undermining timely academic monitoring.
The university implemented ABBYY FormReader 6.5 with FormDesigner to create machine‑readable forms, scan them in bulk and automatically export captured results into its information system. The solution processes about 23,000 documents per exam for 12,500 students with just 10 staff, significantly reducing processing time and errors, improving accuracy and reporting, and is being expanded to other departments and administrative tasks.
