TRN Group, a family‑owned civil engineering and haulage contractor in Camden, NSW, handles about 3,500 creditor invoices a month across a 240‑person business. Manual processing led to regular delays, lost or duplicate invoices and heavy staff time spent on data entry and supplier queries.

Inland Technology deployed ABBYY FlexiCapture with Canon scanners and integrated MFDs to scan mail and email attachments, OCR key fields (ABN, invoice number, dates, job/order numbers, totals, GST), allow creditor lookups/creation, and route verified data into Infoware for electronic approval. The automation cut invoice processing time by roughly two‑thirds, reduced filing overhead with PDF images linked from reports, and improved invoice accessibility and approval speed.
