ONSET is a Brazilian IT and telecommunications specialist (founded 1996) that audits telephone invoices to help companies cut telecom costs. After massive growth in telecom services and wildly varying invoice formats—even bills with millions of line items—manual validation became impractical, so ONSET needed a scalable tool to automatically process hundreds to thousands of monthly invoices.
ONSET implemented ABBYY FlexiCapture 9.0 to scan invoices, use FormDesigner to handle variable layouts, extract and verify critical labels, tables and tags, and export highly structured, searchable data into their workflow. The solution standardized paper and electronic invoice processing, cut processing time and costs, enabled validation of previously unmanageable paper bills, and helped ONSET win more clients and increase profits.
