Truplast, a serial-production manufacturer of plastic hoses and hose assemblies with about 125 employees and sites in Germany, Spain and Hungary, faced the challenge of managing very different production methods (series extrusion vs. made‑to‑order engineering BOMs), supporting rapid process changes, and running ERP across multiple countries. To meet these needs they chose abas (abas ERP) for its ability to map complex BOMs, handle international deployments, and adapt quickly to new workflows.

abas implemented an integrated ERP solution that mapped Truplast’s varied BOMs, provided complete DMS and PDC integration, delivered customized BI reporting, and enabled multi‑site access via Citrix (plus fax/telephone and quality integrations). The abas rollout (27 licenses, customer since 03/2010) let Truplast rapidly model new processes, scale internationally, and grow its customized hose system business while centralizing data and reporting — with additional plant connections (e.g., Hungary) planned.
