STRATEC Biomedical Systems, a 380-employee manufacturer of fully automatic analyzer systems, needed an ERP that could scale with above-market growth and handle complex manufacturing challenges such as multi-level parts lists, serial number and missing-parts tracking, and subcontractor coordination. To meet these needs STRATEC selected the abas ERP solution to provide a flexible, adaptable backbone for its global operations.

abas implemented a configurable user interface and toolset (report/mask generators, database loader and additional database) to adapt the system to STRATEC’s specific workflows, added complex parts-list displays, serial-number management and an “extended workbench” for subcontractors. The result was a tightly fitted system that supports STRATEC’s continued growth and multi-site operations (Germany, Switzerland, USA), now running with 161 abas licenses and in use since 1991, delivering measurable process adaptability and operational continuity.
