Reischauer GmbH, a German custom manufacturer and metal fabricator with 55 employees, faced a legacy ERP that was costly to maintain and too inflexible for the company’s industry-specific needs. After other ERP vendors declined to present solutions, Reischauer selected abas ERP in 2006 (13 user licenses) to provide an upgradeable, flexible platform that could support their production, distribution and precious-metal product lines.

abas implemented abas ERP and linked it to abas eBusiness, enabling integrated management of precious metal accounts and stock, real‑time daily price calculations, cuvette production workflows, and an eCommerce platform. The solution has been upgraded several times, supported the 2009 launch of goldymine.de, automated pricing and inventory control, and delivered the upgradeability and flexibility Reischauer required — validating the choice of abas.
