KUIPERS, a family-run sheet metal processor founded in 1924 in Meppen, Germany, outgrew its outdated custom IT solution and needed a scalable, industry-fit system to support rapid growth and complex production workflows. In 2011 the company selected abas ERP for its standard functional fit for sheet metal processing and its flexibility to be tailored to KUIPERS’s requirements.

abas ERP was implemented with bi-directional WiCAM integration and links to Trumpf machines, the Stopa warehouse, stacker, forklifts and CTI/PDC/PTR extensions, plus modules such as CRM, costing, scheduling, materials management and DMS/APS. The solution delivered real-time, transparent plant data and direct efficiency/productivity evaluations that hadn’t been recorded before, enabled forklifts to receive instructions from machine operators to speed transport, streamlined process flows and reduced production-controlling work steps—KUIPERS has used abas ERP since 01/2012 with 92 licenses in place.
