Käppler & Pausch GmbH, a custom metal fabrication and rail‑vehicle component specialist, faced an outdated IT system that could no longer support its production and planning needs. In 2010 the company chose abas ERP for its strong price–performance ratio and deployed modules including abas BI, PDC/PTR, abas Mobile and CRM to modernize operations.

abas ERP was implemented company‑wide (with TruTops Fab Storage and construction data adoption) to streamline production planning, purchasing and stock processes. The abas ERP rollout reduced work steps, increased output, and made stocktaking, planning and forwarding to boxes significantly faster; the system now supports 73 users at the Neukirch/Lausitz site and enables plans for a future webshop for laser parts.
