Jim Thompson, a small German distributor and seller of cloths and furniture with four employees and four users, needed a sustainable, easy-to-introduce ERP that could handle purchasing and sales, support multiple languages and allow future eBusiness/webshop integration. After a one-month evaluation the management selected abas and its ERP solution to meet these needs.

abas implemented its standard ERP release—quickly deploying purchasing and sales functions with only minor modifications—while adding Jasper-based graphical document printing and one-click evaluations for management. The system went live within about a month (customer since 02/2007), has run smoothly since, reduced the need for custom development, and provided the multilingual and integration-ready platform that will support rollout to other European distributors.
