Henelit, a Southern Austrian manufacturer of paints and lacquers with about 180 employees and operations across Austria and neighboring countries, faced an outdated in-house ERP ("Comet") that was no longer developed or scalable. Seeking a future-proof, multilingual, centrally maintained system, Henelit selected the abas ERP to improve customization, transparency and delivery reliability.

abas implemented a tailored ERP solution—managing formulas in BOMs, unified quote drafting, inventory evaluations and support for various filling orders—while recording all raw materials (including thinners) to meet solvent management requirements. The abas deployment (40 licenses, customer since 02/2003) increased delivery reliability and transparency, optimized production for quicker processes and led to measurable reductions in stock levels through ongoing evaluations and continuous improvement.
