G.RAU, a global supplier of precision metal and composite components with about 570 employees, needed to consolidate a range of custom IT solutions and support end-to-end operations across sales, purchasing, materials, production and finance while enabling EDI and multi-site connectivity. To do this they partnered with abas, implementing abas ERP and abas Essential EDI to meet their cross-functional and integration requirements.

abas delivered a company-wide ERP rollout (in place since 1995) covering Sales, Purchasing, Materials Management, Scheduling, Production, Financial and Cost Accounting, plus EDI and interfaces to Habel (DMS), Breitenbach (PDC), SteinhilberSchwer (CRM) and IBS (CAQ). By replacing bespoke tools (packaging/lot management, print generator) with standard abas modules and connecting the Costa Rica subsidiary, abas helped G.RAU streamline processes, centralize data and enable electronic transactions—today supporting 85 licenses across Germany and Costa Rica and long-term operational stability.
