Ferrotec Europe, a manufacturer and exclusive European distributor of components for vacuum and thin‑film technologies, needed greater corporate transparency, up‑to‑date evaluations and standardized documents across its European operations. To meet these goals, Ferrotec Europe engaged abas to deliver an ERP solution (abas ERP) covering purchasing, sales, warehousing, production and cost accounting.

abas implemented the ERP modules, standardized the appearance of quotations, sales order confirmations, packing slips and invoices, and connected European subsidiaries via VPN. The abas rollout—deployed on 25 licenses and live since 02/2005—provided Ferrotec Europe with unified processes, timely reporting and improved cross‑border operations for its German site (50 employees).
