ERNST Umformtechnik GmbH, a global specialty forming supplier with ~750 employees, produces highly precise stamped and deep-drawn parts for the automotive and appliance industries and needed a robust, synchronized ERP to manage multi‑site production, supplier communication and traceability. To meet these challenges ERNST partnered with abas (abas ERP / abas Software GmbH) to standardize processes across Germany, France, China and the USA and to support high‑precision production planning and logistics.

abas implemented a global abas ERP rollout with EDI (handling ~80% of customer data exchanges), the abas B2B Portal for supplier collaboration, barcode‑based tracking and a three‑server landscape (production, fail‑safe mirror, test). The abas solution simplified supplier communication, enabled product tracking & tracing, supports sales, purchasing, production planning and inventory management across sites, and—with annual upgrades—keeps ERNST state‑of‑the‑art (196 licenses in use), helping the company scale and prepare for planned investments.
