EPHY‑MESS, a Germany‑based electronics manufacturer of sensors with about 170 employees, needed an ERP solution to boost transparency, productivity and quality management while automating key processes. After evaluating vendors, EPHY‑MESS selected abas and its abas business software (with later addition of abas BI); the internal project team led the rollout with partner support limited to data transfer and minor adjustments, starting training in September 2001 and going live on 02.02.02.

abas delivered a rapid, largely in‑house implementation of its ERP, enabling customized measuring data recording and quality management via the abas internal programming language, later adding automatic picking control (2006) and abas BI (2010). The result was markedly increased transparency, productivity and time savings, a payback on the ERP investment within 12 months, and doubled revenue with the same headcount — demonstrating clear, measurable impact from the abas solution.
