DFT Technology GmbH, a German autoclave manufacturer with about 25 employees and a long history in mechanical engineering, faced the need to replace its legacy PIUSS system to avoid the Y2K risk and to gain a more flexible, modifiable ERP that could map and adapt its business processes during live operations. In 1999 they selected abas ERP to provide a modern, adaptable platform (deployed across 12 licenses) that could support their manufacturing, sales and service workflows.

abas implemented a suite of solutions — including abas ERP, abas DMS, service processing, abas Business Apps and drawing management — to centralize machine and drawing data and streamline spare-parts handling. As a result, DFT Technology now processes quotations and purchase orders more quickly, has reduced production work steps, and significantly optimized sales and service output, enabling faster access to correct replacement parts and improved customer support.
