Buss, a Swiss industrial machinery maker specializing in kneader facilities, faced the need to tighten integrated processes from engineering and BOMs to service, and to improve cost accounting transparency and product profitability. After a structured selection process and workshops, Buss chose Bytics to implement the abas ERP solution (with later PLM and DMS integrations) to meet high customization, usability, and integration requirements.

Bytics implemented abas for about 80 users across Switzerland and the USA, delivering the project on schedule and within budget, performing two major upgrades, adding a PLM interface (2010) and integrating Habel DMS (2012). The Bytics-led deployment enabled user customizations during rollout, improved cost accounting transparency and profitability insights, and provided a fully integrated ERP/PLM/DMS environment that supports Buss’s operations.
