Debatin, a Baden-based manufacturer of environmentally friendly polyethylene packaging with about 220 employees and operations in Germany and France, needed an ERP solution to keep production and business processes tightly controlled while supporting growth. They turned to ABAS ERP to integrate production control with logistics and sales, addressing challenges such as EDI barcode scanner connectivity, external sales force integration, and an outsourced finished-goods warehouse.

ABAS ERP implemented connectivity to warehouse EDI barcode scanners, an EDI interface to the outsourced warehouse, and links to the external sales force while allowing in-house, update-safe customizations and easy mapping of future requirements. As a result, ABAS ERP gave Debatin optimal control of business processes, maintained product quality and competitive pricing, and enabled healthy growth without increasing staff capacity.
