North Sails, the global leader in sailmaking, needed a better way to track and trace customer sails across more than 150 lofts worldwide. Their manual inventory process was tedious and could take two to three days, while seasonal repair volumes, inter-loft transfers, and customer pickup handling created a need for real-time visibility and faster turnaround. A2B Tracking provided an RFID asset management solution to improve custody tracking, customer service, and inventory accuracy.

A2B Tracking implemented a solution using Samsung smartphones, Zebra RFID sleds, RFID hang tags, and an Impinj fixed RFID gateway with A2B Tracking software. The system enabled mobile inventories, faster customer pickup, self check-out alerts, and better transfer-of-custody tracking, helping North Sails reach 100% inventory accuracy, reduce wait times, and improve audit readiness and tax compliance. A2B Tracking also gave North Sails a scalable RFID platform for future expansion.
