Web Application Delivery for First-Class Online Gaming Services

Gamania, a Taiwan-based online game developer and publisher serving thousands of daily users, needed to expand its data center and application delivery capacity to support growing download, patching and gaming traffic. The challenge was to add ADCs that would deliver higher performance, scalability and availability while keeping costs and management complexity under control, so Gamania evaluated its incumbent vendor plus alternatives in a proof-of-concept.

Gamania selected A10 Networks’ ADCs after the PoC showed superior price/performance, scalability and included application-acceleration features (caching, compression, SSL offload) without extra licensing. The deployment met the expansion goals: improved uptime and responsiveness, headroom for growth, faster game access for users, and positive operational support for the IT team.
