Case Study: Six Group achieves highest application availability and performance with A10 Networks Thunder ADC

A A10 Networks Case Study

Preview of the Six Group Case Study

SIX relies on the application delivery controller by A10

SIX Group, the Swiss financial infrastructure provider that processes millions of securities trades, settlements and cashless payments daily, needed to guarantee continuous availability, rapid response and strong security for roughly 400 applications. After Cisco’s ACE series was discontinued and support ended, SIX required a new high-performance, scalable ADC with global load‑balancing, IPv6 support and long‑term vendor/partner commitment to protect critical payment and settlement services across geographically redundant data centers.

SIX selected A10 Networks’ Thunder 3030S ADCs managed with aGalaxy and deployed them as active/active clusters with automatic failover across two Swiss data centers via partner eb‑Qual. The solution delivered dynamic load distribution, web application firewalling, SSL offload, DDoS protection, IPv6 readiness and traffic‑reduction features (compression, caching, connection reuse), meeting SIX’s performance, scalability and support requirements—improving availability, security and operational predictability while enabling seamless global load balancing and future growth.
