Case Study: Jaguar Network achieves low-latency content delivery and eliminates 1M concurrent-connection cap with A10 Networks

A A10 Networks Case Study

Preview of the Jaguar Network Case Study

Low Latency Content Delivery for Millions of Connections

Jaguar Network, a rapidly growing European ISP and web‑hosting provider operating dozens of data centers and its own CDN, was running into scalability and latency limits: its legacy Cisco CSM load balancers capped concurrent connections at 1 million, caused intolerable latency, and lacked needed IPv6 functionality. The company required a low‑latency, high‑capacity, IPv6‑ready solution that would reduce server RAM usage and handle peak traffic spikes.

After evaluating vendors, Jaguar deployed A10 Application Delivery Controllers in Direct Server Return mode. The 64‑bit ACOS platform delivered a roughly 32× increase in session capacity, removed the concurrent‑connection limit, lowered latency and RAM load on CDN servers, and added SYN‑flood protection, high availability, IPv6 support and virtualization—improving performance under both peak and normal loads while meeting budget and enhancing the end‑user experience.
