Cityline Selects A10 ADC to Optimize Internet and Mobile Ticketing Services

Cityline, a leading Hong Kong internet ticketing provider and operator of the Universal Ticketing System (UTS), faced intense traffic spikes—especially in the first 30 minutes of popular sales—and needed an ADC that could tightly integrate with its in-house system to prevent application overload, provide multi-site/high-availability support, segment network functions, cloak server attributes, and consolidate five pairs of legacy controllers.

Cityline deployed A10 ADC with aFleX deep-packet scripting and Application Delivery Partitions (ADPs) to granularly control transactions, add DDoS and malicious-IP protections, and segment traffic by function. The solution preserved valuable transactions during peak loads, improved uptime and error handling, consolidated five ADC pairs into one, and supported the launch and migration of new mobile ticketing features.
