Abans Maximizes the Uptime and Performance of its VDI Infrastructure with A10 ADC Solution

Abans PLC, one of Sri Lanka’s largest retailers with 750 showrooms and 400 dealers, faced growing IT strain from a distributed database model and more than 2,000 Remote Desktop Services (RDS) users connecting from across the country. The legacy architecture was hard to manage and scale, so Abans needed a responsive, centrally managed infrastructure that could evenly distribute traffic, ensure high performance and support rapid business expansion.

Abans deployed A10 ADC (ACOS) with local partner EGUARDIAN to provide intelligent RDS/VDI load balancing, token redirection and high-availability failover. The solution balanced traffic across Windows RDS servers and a VDI site (150 users), accelerated Exchange and application access, and was fully implemented in six weeks. Results included a high-performance, scalable network with simplified IT management, all-in licensing, strong vendor support and capacity to support ongoing showroom growth.
